Project Overview
As Design Research Assistant, I collaborated closely with the senior UX designer to develop the e-commerce merchandise product webpages, utilizing Figma for design and Webflow for deployment, ensuring a seamless user experience.
My responsibilities extended to the research and design of over 30 merchandise products for AIJ Lab, where I employed Photoshop and Procreate to generate detailed product renderings that effectively conveyed the quality and design of each item.
Additionally, I played a pivotal role in building and maintaining robust partnerships with over 20 contractors, which was crucial for streamlining operations and enhancing the overall supply chain efficiency.
Client Overview
Artificial Intelligence for Justice Lab (AIJ) at the University of Toronto was founded in 2018. We are dedicated to human-centered data science with missions in research and teaching. AIJ focuses its efforts to undertake new frontier research. Dedicated to human-centered data science, we tackle important questions at the leading edge of computational social science.
Logo Redesign
In redesigning the merchandise for AIJ, I began by modifying the original logo to better suit apparel, shifting away from its more academic, intellectual feel. To embody the essence of AI and add a playful element, I incorporated eyes into the logo design. Additionally, I refined the logo’s blue color palette to enhance its aesthetic appeal on wearable items, ensuring that the design not only resonated with the brand's identity but also appealed visually to its audience.

Logo Variations
In addition to the basic design, I also created various versions to accommodate diverse printing requirements and special occasions.
Apparel Sketch
Below are the sketches for t-shirts, hoodies, shorts, sweatpants, tank tops, crop tops with different logo designs.
Product Rendering
For all the products featured on the website, I each created a rendered image in photoshop.
Merch Webpage Design
Following the design guidelines provided in the Figma file and after consulting with the senior UX designer, I created a high-fidelity mockup in Figma. Subsequently, I seamlessly integrated this page into the existing website using Webflow.
